PHIL Lock has hosed down any thoughts his round three win in the Sprintcar Allstars Series was a fluke.
The Simpson driver backed up his Premier Speedway win at Nyora Speedbowl on Sunday.
He blitzed the field ahead of Mark Caruso and Paul Solomon. The back-to-back victories came after a dismal performance at Bordertown in round two, where he failed to reach the A-main.
Series promoter Mandy Searle said Lock was a gracious victor.
"Phil is always humble when receiving the victory hardware but he is truly a great racer and you only have to look at his placings over the past two season to see that," she said.
Searle said a slick track troubled many drivers on the night.
Damien Dannett took a huge roll in the front straight, taking with him parts of the catch fence. The prang ended his team's night.
Despite several drivers coming unstuck, Searle said the track's condition failed to dampen the night. "To everyone's credit they adapted to it and the A-main was a great race."
Mildura will host round five of the series on Saturday. It will then return to the south-west for round six at Simpson Speedway.
Lock took out the Simpson round last year.
