Warrnambool Gold through to pennant bowls final

07 Feb, 2012 03:57 PM
WARRNAMBOOL Gold this afternoon snaffled the first ticket to the Tuesday Pennant grand final, winning the second semi final against City Memorial Gold by 10 shots at Dennington.

The Timor Street brigade's win has set up a huge intraclub preliminary final grudge match between City Gold and City Green next Tuesday.

Green earned its spot in the penultimate round of finals when it survived today's knockout semi final against Port Fairy, despite losing two rinks.

Division one scores:

Second semi final: Warrnambool Gold 76 defeated City Memorial Gold 66

First semi final: City Memorial Green 71 defeated Port Fairy 64
