Terang is out, but not too down, after being eliminated from the Warrnambool and District Ladies Bowling Association's final series yesterday.
The side was defeated by Port Fairy, which snuck into the top four after the last home-and-away round.
Port was triumphant in every rink, recording an exceptional 40-shot victory over Terang at Dennington.
Losing skipper Margaret Sumner remained positive despite the loss.
"We're pleased to get as far as we did," she said.
"We were division two last year, then we've come up into division one and got into the finals, which is a pretty good effort.
''We're only a very small club.
"I just felt we weren't quite strong enough . . . It's still been a good season."
While Sumner went down to Jan Norton by two shots, Jean Fidge succumbed to Kay Miller 15-29 and Port's Margaret Yeoman had a massive 41-17 victory over Carol Cardwell.
City Memorial Gold is the association's first division one grand finalist this season after eclipsing Warrnambool Gold 88-56 at Dennington yesterday.
While Denise Hillier lost to Joan Anderson by two shots, the other two City rinks were successful.
Joan Stevenson defeated Bev Hayes 34-23 while Kaye Maddern was too strong for Helen Lock, winning 36-13.
City Gold's Karina Ellery said her side built a strong lead by tea.
"Then it was just a matter of holding it because we knew they would come back, which they did," she said. "It was a great team effort by us."
City is aiming for a fourth flag in a row. "It's very exciting, now we just have to wait and see who we play," Ellery said.
In division two at Port Fairy, City Memorial Blue won through to the grand final by downing Dennington by 27 shots.
Meanwhile, Warrnambool Green's season ended after it went down to City Pink in the first semi, 82-53.
At City Memorial, Warrnambool Red advanced to the division three grand final after overcoming Port Fairy 48-36, while Warrnambool White beat Koroit by three shots in the firt semi.
