LUKE Clarke has managed to equal his winning performance from last year's Camperdown Junior Classic.
The 19-year-old took out the event for the second time at the Lakes and Craters Sports Complex yesterday.
The Camperdown teenager shot 83, with a handicap of 20, winning the 18-hole competition with a net score of 63.
Tournament organiser Mick O'Neil was thrilled with the turnout with 27 young golfers from across the south-west teed-off for the event.
"The conditions were absolutely perfect," O'Neil said.
"We couldn't have asked for a better day.
"And Luke's my apprentice so it was lucky the boss gave him the day off to play," he laughed.
The weather has been a key part of the classic.
Last year the competition was reduced to nine holes after the temperature soared to 42 degrees.
Competitors for this year's event came from as far as Heywood and Apollo Bay and played across three age groups ? under 14, under 17 and under 21.
They ranged from a handicap of three to 32. Cobden's Sam Rix was the overall runner-up.
