Dual Victorian amateur champion Stacey Keating is a welcome addition to the Women's Golf Western District 2010 country team.
Captain Jeanette Sandeman said the Lismore Golf Club export would give the side a huge boost as it aims to take out the division one Country Teams' title next week.
"We are very excited to have Stacey as a member of our team," Portland's Sandeman said.
"She has played for us previously and has made herself available this year.
"She has been very successful in her golf career, winning Victorian and Australian amateur championships."
The captain was also pleased to welcome two more newcomers to the side in Lyn Crow and Martina Whelan, from Hamilton and the Grampians respectively.
"We hope that along with the experienced members, we will have a successful tournament," she said.
The team will play at Sanctuary Lakes next Monday while it takes to Eynesbury on Tuesday and Kooringal on Wednesday.
Sandeman said the Women's Golf Western District representatives had limited practice due to courses around the south-west being affected by wet weather.
She also said that it would be a change to play on courses this side of Melbourne during the three-day tournament.
"Usually we are down on the sand belt," she said.
The team will be vying for the Alice L. Coltman Cup.
