WARRNAMBOOL and District Cricket Association (WDCA) is keeping tight-lipped about Monday night's meeting between the board, Nestles co-captain Brett Eldridge and West Warrnambool captain-coach Andrew Robb.
The duo were ordered to appear before the board after they voiced their opinions on the WDCA's decision to schedule this month's division one grand final at Allansford instead of the city's premier sporting ground, Reid Oval.
It is understood the WDCA cited the pair under a clause in its constitution that players could be expelled, suspended or fined if they were found guilty of not complying with the constitution or found guilty of conduct "unbecoming a member or prejudicial to the interests of the association".
Eldridge and Robb, who declined to comment to The Standard yesterday, were not fined, suspended or expelled.
WDCA president Robert Haberfield also declined to comment yesterday except to say that "the meeting took place between those people and the board and the matter has been resolved satisfactorily".
