NICOLE Hunt doesn't expect her average court time to eclipse 25 minutes in the 2009-10 WNBL season.
The Dandenong Rangers point guard returned to basketball a month ago for round five action after being troubled by knee tendonitis since the end of last season.
She has played five games this season, averaging just over 14 minutes.
"I'm still not able to play 20 minutes a game and I'm still doing modified training during the week," she said.
"Hopefully after Christmas I'll be back into full training and play a bit more.
"I won't be playing more than 25 minutes a game this season."
The former Warrnambool Mermaid said her knees felt good, she just had to ease her way back into things.
"It's hard because since I don't train a lot, I feel a little bit under prepared, especially playing at WNBL level," she said.
"I don't feel as confident out there but it's just something I have to deal with.
"My knees are pulling up good, there's just lots of icing and ice baths to make sure I recover."
The Rangers are sitting eighth on the ladder with a record of three wins and seven losses .
Hunt, 21, believed her side had started to gain momentum.
"We had a good win (on Sunday) against Townsville, who are second," she said.
"We've got a home game on Saturday and if we win that, that's three in-a-row.
"We were struggling for a while but we stuck together."
The Rangers have had a shuffle at the helm, with head coach Dale Waters taking on an assistant role.
He has been replaced by former assistant Dean Kinsman, who joined the club in the off-season and coached Hunt at the AIS.
"I'm comfortable because he coached me for a long time," she said. "We set ourselves a goal when Dean took over to win four games before Christmas and to win our home games.
"We've already won two at home and we've got another one this weekend so hopefully we can win that one as well.
"I guess it's the old cliche, we just have to take it one week at a time."
Dandenong will aim for its hat-trick against Perth ? which it defeated by 11 points a fortnight ago ? on Saturday night.
