St Pat's festivities end in fight

A SECURITY guard allegedly sustained a bite to his hand during an altercation outside the Seanchai Irish pub late on St Patrick's day.

Warrnambool police Senior Constable John Bamford said police were called to the pub at 9.35pm after pub staff requested a man to leave.

He said that request led to an fight on the footpath involving two men and security staff.

"One of the security staff suffered an injury to his hand," he said.

"Two male offenders, aged 23 and 24 years from Warrnambool, were arrested, interviewed and charged with being drunk and assault-related offences."
