Simpson market to end on a high

04 Nov, 2009 03:00 AM
ORGANISERS of the Simpson farmers' market are expecting to end the year with their biggest market yet.

More than 20 stallholders will descend on the town's central square for the final market this Sunday to celebrate the best local produce the area has to offer.

Gourmet foods such as smoked eels and pesto will be on offer, as well as preserves, cup cakes and biscuits.

Beer, whisky and wine stalls will also be set up on the day while green thumbs can browse locally grown seedlings and fresh flowers.

The market will have a safety theme with police, a squad car and State Emergency Service members on site to discuss safety issues.

Public transport is available from Camperdown or Timboon to the market, leaving at 9:30am.

The market is set down for a 9.30am start on Sunday, finishing at 1pm.
