COMMUTING cyclists would have access to a new rail trail between Warrnambool and Allansford, under a councillor's plan.
Filling the rail trail ``dead spot'' to the east of Warrnambool would improve safety for an increasing number of people who choose to ride from the city's satellite towns.
The suggestion comes after the Timboon Rail Trail opened earlier this year and work is progressing on the Warrnambool-Port Fairy Rail Trail.
