Opera served in a different setting

31 May, 2010 05:00 AM
IT is not often that opera is performed in a seaside restaurant, but the venue proved an intimate and inspired choice for Warrnambool fans on Saturday night.

Simon's Waterfront hosted the Opera Sessions initiative, devised and performed by Warrnambool baritone Angus Grant and sopranos Sian Prior and Vanessa West.

The theme of the performance was the tragic heroines of the genre, who have been driven crazy by love, grief, jealousy and revenge.
