Wodonga woman Katie Deering said her night was ruined on Saturday when she saw the "abortion" shot listed on the pool hall's bar menu.
Miss Deering, who recently had an abortion due to health complications, was brought to tears as she recounted the story, realising a photo she had taken that night also showed a drink on the menu called 'Chernobyl meltdown'.
"I have a close friend who was in Chernobyl when it was evacuated," she said in reference to the 1986 nuclear disaster in Ukraine.
"You wouldn't name a drink 'genocide'.
"Imagine going to Europe and seeing a drink called 'Adolf Hitler' or 'the holocaust'.
"I don't know who would go into a bar and think it's funny to say 'I'll have an abortion'.
"When I saw it I said it was disgusting and the guy behind the bar said it was actually a really nice drink.
"I said 'Obviously I'm talking about the name', but he said if I tried one I wouldn't think that.
"This was the first place we went to get ready for a big night but when I saw that I just had a knot in my stomach and we ended up going home."
Your Break owner Neil Swan said it was the first time a customer had complained about drink names since the bar opened in 2009.
"They're cocktails straight out of the recipe book and that's their names," Mr Swan said.
"The abortion is a popular shot and would be served at other spots in town.
"I see how the drink could be seen as offensive.
"It's something we'll look into, we'll take suggestions for a new name and if someone can come up with good name we'll give them a venue voucher.
"We would've preferred any customer with a complaint to come straight to us."
