Roger Anthony Spangaro, 55, now of The Vineyard, Waurn Ponds, Geelong, yesterday appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court for a contest mention.
He has been charged with four counts of committing indecent assaults on two former co-workers.
Police allege that between 2008 and 2010 Mr Spangaro engaged in conduct which started as putting his arm around a woman and escalated to intimately rubbing the woman before he is claimed to have masturbated and ejaculated in front of her.
The alleged victim is said to have not reported the incidents for fear of losing her job, the effect on her family and that she would not be believed.
Police alleged that Mr Spangaro indecently assaulted another female co-worker in 2009 and 2010 by fondling and rubbing her breasts and bottom.
She brought his alleged actions to the attention of her husband and a union representative but did not raise the allegations for fear of losing her job.
However, when the women made disclosures to each other they decided to seek police assistance.
Magistrate Ron Saines yesterday said that at first glance the evidence of the two witnesses appeared entirely consistent and there had been an understandable delay in reporting the allegations.
A defence solicitor said that Mr Spangaro, who appeared in court with his wife, intended to unconditionally deny the allegations.
The defence solicitor said witnesses would also be called to say that the area in which the incidents were alleged to have taken place was a heavy traffic area, with people coming and going without warning.
The case was adjourned for a contested hearing between May 2 and May 4.
