But NBN demonstrator Graham Soawyer said the answer is unknown.
“Most people wanted to know when will it come and how much will it cost,” he said.
“We’re unable to say when it will come but we can get people informed and ready for when it does.”
Mr Soawyer said the NBN will provide a wide range of benefits for businesses, education providers and health professionals.
“There will also be huge benefits for the individual user,” he said.
“It will be that much faster and have much more capacity.”
The Discovery Truck is a 23-tonne mobile interactive demonstration centre which opens up to showcase outdoor displays and contains high-definition video screens, cameras and audio equipment.
As yet there is no confirmed date for the NBN roll-out in the south-west other than sometime in the next decade.
