Hamilton postie bikes stolen

15 Mar, 2010 08:58 AM
HAMILTON police are seeking information from the public after three step-through Honda motorbikes were stolen from the Gray Street post office overnight Friday.

Sergeant Gavin Slade said thieves cut the locking system on the gate and removed the three motorbikes valued at $1000 each from a shed.

He said the crime was committed sometime between 5.45pm Friday and 6.45am Saturday.

"It seems to have been a pretty targeted burglary. There wasn't another building touched," he said.

"Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has any information about the theft is requested to contact the Hamilton Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000," he said.
