For three-year-old Kerabelle Knape, her trip from Hamilton was not to see an abundance of entertaining acts but for an extended hospital stay.
But a visit yesterday by top magician Cath Jamison (pictured) was enough to lift Kerabelle’s spirits.
Her mother, Carolyn Dreher, said Jamison’s lively act had brought Kerabelle’s first smile in two days.
“She loved it. She hasn’t giggled that much for a while.”
Kerabelle was admitted to South West Healthcare on Tuesday with excess fluid in her stomach.
The jokes, balloon and card tricks were some relief from a fortnight of illness.
Jamison has been performing her new show MAGIC! at the Fun4Kids Festival this week, with the support of Glenn Hamilton.
