Description:
Interested in finding out more about Freemasonry? Then come along to Terang Masonic Centre ‘Open Night’.
Freemasonry is often associated with words such as ‘secrets’ and ‘funny hand-shakes’, but visitors to the Terang Masonic Centre ‘Open Night’ will discover that there really are no secrets. Visitors will also learn about the core values, aims and beliefs of Freemasonry and will gain a rare insight into Lodge workings and symbolism through a presentation on the evolution and practices of Freemasonry.
Although active in the Victorian Community for over 160 years, Freemasonry has been experiencing a surge in membership enquiries by young men eager to find out more about the mysteries of Freemasonry.
There is no doubt that Freemasonry provides men with opportunities for personal development, to serve their communities, grow spiritually and live a principled way of way. It is as relevant in the 21st century as it has been in the past.
The Hampden Lodge meets at the Terang Masonic Centre on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30pm. The Lodge offers a vibrant atmosphere in which to meet and socialize. Members are well known for their friendliness and warm presence.
Hampden Lodge Master, Mr. Robin Bryce, welcomes all men and their partners and friends to the open night where you can ‘learn about the guys in the funny aprons’. You will be able see Masonic regalia, have some of the ceremonial aspects of Freemasonry explained and discover the meanings behind some of our ancient symbols.
