Hi there, fellow crusaders.
In my quest to save the planet I have been searching for information I can give out to encourage people to join my crusade.
I must say the info has been hard to find, so I decided to start a Smart Living Library so you wouldn't have the same trouble I had.
The Smart Living Library will operate from the Warrnambool Library at the Civic Centre, 25 Liebig Street, Warrnambool.
With more than 20 books, DVDs, flyers and devices such as Powermates, which can measure the output of your appliances, the Smart Living Library is the real deal.
You just use your library card to borrow things for free.
How cool is that?
The kids will love the new library because they can borrow gadgets (the Powermates) and there are special kids' books and DVDs too.
Those of you who want to be smarty-pants show-offs at dinner parties can borrow books from some of Australia's leading scientists and impress guests with your environmental intelligence.
So start your crusade at our Smart Living Library and get informed about what you and your friends can do to help me Sustain The Bool.
As part of Sustain The Bool, February is energy reduction month.
Make sure you read next week about ways to save energy and money, with simple and cheap tips.
I will leave you with some handy little tips to continue our crusade.
Use your electrical appliances wisely - you can save money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by:
* Washing with cold water and only when the washing machine is full.
* Using your clothes dryer only when absolutely necessary.
* Switching off your television, VCR and computer when not in use.
* Fitting low-wattage globes and turning off lights when leaving a room.
And remember, make your day a Sustain The Bool day!
